I house sit in the winter. This means I leave my house empty for the winter. What is the lowest temperature my house can be safely set at while I am away?

Thanks

Excellent ideas!

In regards to tuning up your HVAC system, there are simple things you can do on your own to keep it in tip-top condition. Just change the filter regularly and use a vacuum on the air intake vents as well as the main cabinet of the furnace (including the blower blades). Easy stuff.

Thanks for sharing. Keep it up!

Great tips!
I especially like the one about the blinds. That's a great way to keep your house warm, while lowering heating costs during the daytime.

As a contractor, I also like to tell my clients about keeping your fans running low to keep the warm air circulating.

Excellent article on how to keep the house warm. Nice picture to go along with the post :) Very cozy. After reading the post, it makes me feel like snuggling under the blanket with a good book and a mug of hot chocolate.

Solid tips here. I especially like these two:

"DROP IT LOW" and "SPARE THE SPARE"

What's great about your tips are most, if not all of them, can be reversed and used during summers.
